Why should I be involved in the FFA?
Everybody believes that the FFA program is just about animals, and field work; however that is not right. The goal of the FFA is to help students achieve personal growth, career success, and premier leadership. The FFA truly cares about the students membership and wants to help them to strive for success, welcome to a new positive experience, and have fun! But why should FFA members continue to be involved in the FFA?

Career Development Events
Career Development Events (CDEs) help FFA members develop the abilities to think critically, communicate clearly, and perform effectively in a competitive job market. Here in the Greenfield FFA Chapter, we offer two CDE Teams: Farm Power & Machinery and Veterinary Science. These teams help students develop industry-specific skills to think critically, perform effectively, and perhaps spark interest in that Agriculture field. Career Development Events get students involved in FFA, helps teach them to be prepared, develop realistic skills for college or the real world.

Leadership Conferences
Conferences such as GLC, MFE, ALA, and State Conference help FFA members develop leadership skills, communication skills, and confidence in order to succeed in the future. These conferences are really fun and we encourage you to attend at least one conference for a one-in-a-lifetime experience. Ask your advisors how you can attend GLC, MFE, ALA, or State Conference. Other advanced conferences include National Convention, Sacramento Leadership Experience, WLC (Washington Leadership Conference), and COLC (Only Officers can attend COLC). Continue to get involved and come have fun with us!

Positive Experience
Whether it is your first time winning a competition or simply serving others in your community, students can find positive experiences around every corner. The FFA ensures that members are well prepared, responsible, and develop great communication skills. Many FFA members start amazing SAE projects, or succeed in their CDE's; our members take pride in their work because they understand the value that the agriculture industry adds to our daily lives. There are many activities that prepare members for career success while developing skills like responsibility, teamwork, and communication skills. Don't be afraid of trying new things, finding your passion, or challenging yourself to reach your full potential!
